Premiering in Los Angeles in 2009, The Golden Gays quickly established itself as an inventive theatrical comedy, blending affectionate tribute, sharp satire, and character-driven storytelling.

Set within a comedic therapeutic construct, the musical follows four men whose devotion to The Golden Girls becomes both their comfort and their obstacle. In an unconventional attempt to help them break through emotional limitations, their equally unconventional therapist pushes them to inhabit the very archetypes they idolize.

The result is a playful yet pointed exploration of identity, masculinity, and pop-culture mythology  equal parts homage and theatrical invention.

Following award recognition from BroadwayWorld Los Angeles and successful engagements in Miami and Palm Springs, The Golden Gays now enters its next chapter.
